One of the biggest advantages of a Google Business View tour over other virtual tours is that it is hosted by Google.
Google encourages users searching for your business services to “See Inside” your business at the earliest opportunity, exposing them to an inspiring journey of its interior. (Trials in the US have shown that this experience is shown can increase traffic to that business’s website from 5 to 20%.)
How do users find a Business View tour?
When a user places a search that strongly relates to your business, you business’s profile will be displayed. If your business has a Business View from within this profile will be displayed a “See Inside” icon. When this is clicked on the Business View virtual tour is initiated and the user is then free to navigate themselves around the inside of your business.
From Google Maps
With more and more business searches being completed using location aware mobile devices (50% of all mobile searches are for local businesses), the most important place usesr will find the “See Inside” feature of Google Business View will be using Google Maps.
Open Google maps in your favourite browser and enter “Royal Standard of England pub” into the search box, or you can simply use this link. From within Google maps, use the “See inside” icon (shown below) to enter the Royal Standard of England virtual Business View tour.
From Google Search
The next important location for finding your Business View tour will be from the Google Search page. Again using the pub example open a Google search page and enter “Royal Standard of England pub” into the search box, or you can simply use this link. From within Google’s search result page, use the “See inside” icon on the right (shown below) to enter the Royal Standard of England virtual Business View tour.
From Your Google + Business Page
If you have created a Google plus page for your business (and why not as they are free) your Google Business view can also be found here. Using the Basing House (Old Basing) Google plus page as an example, if you scroll down you will find another “See Inside” icon linking this page to the Basing House Business View.
From Your Business Website
As you own the Copyright for all the imagery taken during the Google Business View shoot, you can easily embed the virtual tour within your website using existing Google code (just copy and paste), so users can find it there as well. Again the Royal Standard pub has a good example of this on their website’s home page
